Weasel Warming House.
I had just read a description of winter warming habitat for
small mammals, with a floor-level hole to allow them to climb up and in and husband their body's warmth when I found myself with a resident winter weasel in my cabin in the woods. This was my first self-conscious melding of habitat creation and
artmaking. I attached it to a tree near my
cabin and closed a few holes in the cabin. The weasel
stopped living in the cabin, though I don't know
that the weasel house convinced it to.
