The surrounding are selected recent commissions. At times, I have been able to incorporate materials of significance to the owner of a piece, letting them stretch the vocabulary of my work into places it would not otherwise have gone, and grounding the meaning of the piece in the life of the person who is likely to be its primary audience. Other commissions, like Asphalt Sun, have included working with kids and adults as an integrated part of a park or school clean-up.
