This piece is sited in a park to which
the rich and poor of a
variety of races come, often in groups of their own
to see the sun set. The park at sundown is one of the few
places in the city where a person can see
far enough to feel contempletive, where one can feel the earth turning underfoot.
The carved bricks are set apart from each other.
One is made of
alabaster,
one red brick;
each begs, needing in parallel without clasping the other.
